"Nat Cassidy has a smart, loud voice, pierced with black humor. Acutely aware, he can scare you to death, hurt your heart, but keep you laughing. A fresh new voice who has arrived right one time." - Academy Award nominee Joan Tewkesbury (Robert Altman's Nashville, Thieves Like Us)
In 2009, Nat's plays were up for a combined total of FIVE New York Innovative Theatre Awards: Outstanding Full Length Script (The Reckoning of Kit & Little Boots), Outstanding Production (Kit & Little Boots, Gallery Players/Engine37), Outstanding Director (Nat Cassidy, Any Day Now), Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role (David Ian Lee, Kit & Little Boots), and Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role (Elyse Mirto, Any Day Now). Nat took home the award for his script of Kit & Little Boots and Elyse Mirto for her portrayal of April Colby in Nat's Any Day Now.
In 2011, Nat's one-man show I Am Providence won the NYIT Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and the exceedingly well-deserved Outstanding Stage Manager Award for SM-extraordinaire Laura Schlachtmeyer.

"There's talent aplenty on display here. Cassidy is clearly a young theatre artist to watch!"
